The BRITLIST DATA contains names of places with the country origin, plus degrees and seconds parameters, first for the NORTH, and then for EAST or WEST. PREPARE SIDE 'A' OF THE NEW DISC. ----------------------------------- To get the program working FORMAT a blank disc in Drive A: with DISCKIT. The next operation is done better with the M: drive 'EMPTY'. So ERASE all the contents from Drive M: by Typing ERASE when asked for a filename Type M:*.* With your copy CP/M disc in drive A: Type:- PIP when the * appears Type in the following files. * M:=A:J14CPM3.EMS [RETURN] * M:=A:SUBMIT.COM [RETURN] * M:=A:PROFILE.SUB [RETURN] * M:=A:PIP.COM [RETURN] Take your copy CP/M disc out of the drive, and replace it with the BRITLIST disc side 'A' facing the screen and Type at the * :- * M:=A:*.BAS [RETURN] These are the DATA MODULES. i.e. A.BAS to Z.BAS, when these have copied to drive M: Take your BRITLIST disc out of the drive, and replace it with your FORMATTED disc with the A side facing the screen, then Type at the * :- * A:=M:*.* [RETURN] This will transfer all the files from M: drive to the disc in the A: drive. Press ALT(C) to exit from PIP. Take your NEW disc out of the drive and replace it with your CP/M copy disc. PREPARING PROFILE.SUB ------------------------ RUN CP/M. and at the A> prompt Type:- BASIC RPED. When the menu appears on the screen take your CP/M copy disc out of the drive and replace it with your NEW disc with the 'A' side facing the screen. Press [F1] when the next screen appears, with the prompt for the filename for the source disc type inside the box PROFILE.SUB and press [RETURN]. When the destination filename (PROFILE.SUB) appears Press [RETURN], the screen will clear and then you will be presented with the contents of PROFILE.SUB. Clear all the existing data out one line at a time by Pressing CUT, then Type in starting from the top :- pip
