LOGO PROGRAM - SUITE (c) TD 1989 After inserting the disc in the drive you can turn on your PCW. When the prompt appears, you have to type: logo or: LOGO and the main-menu appears on the screen. You can use the cursorkeys to make your choice: AIRLINER: On the screen of your computer a chart of EUROPE is shown. You are the pilot of an airliner. Using the cursorkeys you have to fly from one airport to an other. Each movement needs a certain amount of fuel, but when you reach the right destination, you will be rewarded with new fuel. If you try to fly with less than 100 gallons of fuel, your plane will crash. All airports already visited, are shown on the screen by the symbol of an airliner. To stop the program press the EXIT-key. ANAGRAM: You see some characters on the screen. You have to guess which particular word can be made out of these characters. You can 'buy' one or more characters up to a total of 40 in one game. William Schakespeare is supposed to be the champion of the game and the name of any new champion will automatically be saved to disc. There is a line-graph on screen to make visible your results so far. You can stop by typing a Q. HANGMAN: One of the most famous word games. No further comment needed. UFO: Somewhere on the screen you see a dot and a small square to emphasize the place where your radar saw a UFO. You have to estimate the direction. The arrow is adjusted in the direction of your choice and you can estimate the distance. After that the arrow will be thrown. After each throw your points are shown and your reliablity in % To stop the game, type 999 as direction. DRAW: DRAW is a drawing program. COMMANDS AVAILABLE: CURSOR - keys: lines in 4 directions o key: circle to the right O key: circle to the left + key: to make hook / unit / length / pen or turtle BIGGER - key: to make hook / unit / length / pen or turtle SMALLER f key: to fill closed fields h key: HELP instructions on paper EXIT-key: to load / save / erase picture on screen or disc / quit program PRINTING: EXTRA+PTR key MUSIC: A simple music-printer. * You can draw up to 4 staves of music. The following commands are available: * You can choose 1/1 1/2 1/4 and 1/8 notes. These are drawn by pressing the 1-2- 4- and 8-key. [Definitely without pressing the RETURN-key.] The RETURN-key will bring you to the next stave. * The right spot for a note to be drawn is reached by the cursor-keys. * By choosing the T-key you are entering the text-mode to print words below the staves. Remember the function of the RETURN-key!! EXIT-key: to load / save / erase picture on screen or disc / quit program. PRINTING: EXTRA+PTR key. LABEL: A special program, to make a precision label for your 3"-discs or for audio-cassettes. The disc-label program asks for: * The title of the disc * The words for the 4 lines on side I * The words for the 4 lines on side II *The option BOLD (y/n) The cassette-label program asks for: * The title of the disc * The text for (max. 20) lines on side 1 * The text for (max. 20) lines on side 2 After these questions, the labels are drawn on screen. PRINTING: EXTRA+PTR key. IN GENERAL: * After stopping [defenitely without using the STOP-key] one of these programs, the mainmenu is automatically reloaded and started. EDITING LOGO PROGRAMS: Small LOGO programs can be edited by the built-in LOGO program editor. * Type: load "FILENAME ed [proc1 proc2 proc3] * The file is loaded and the editor starts with the procedures mentioned between [] * After editing: press the EXIT-key. The editor answers with: proc1 defined, proc2 defined etc. * To test an edited program, type: FILENAME (without ") * To list all procedures, type: ts poall (textscreen poceduresall.) * Saving the edited file, type: ern glist ".APV (to erase all parameters used so far) erasefile "OLDNAME save "NEWNAME If your program contains more than 64 procedures or containes greater procedures, you have to use a wordprocessor like LOCOSCRIPT. * Create a new file (most likely in drive M:) and insert the old LOGO-file by use of F1 (LOCO II) or F7 (LOCOI) * After editing: (from the discmanagerscreen) make ascii-file by use of F1 * Be sure the file is in GROUP 0 * Make a warm restart in LOGO and type: load "FILENAME FILENAME (The first FILENAME is intented to load the file and the second to start the program running.
