THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SOFTWARE INTEREST GROUP SUSSEX ENGLAND Some of the files on this disk have the extension .LBR, these are librarary files. They are actually composite files made up of a number of smaller files. Before you can use the programs in them they have to be extracted. To extract the programs contained in libraries on this disk, use NULU. The procedure is: Put the disk with NULU in the A: drive, and a disk with room on it on the B: drive. Then enter B: A:NULU {start the NULU program} Remove the disk containing NULU from the A: drive and substitute the disk containing the library file you wish to extract programs from (in many cases, the disk with NULU will also have the library file, in which case, just leave it in the A: drive). Then enter -o a: {Open the library file} -q *.* {Extract and usqueeze all entries} {all the extracted files will be put on the disk in drive B: } There are many other options available with this fine program, but the sequence above is all you really need to know. To unsqueeze compressed files that are not in libraries (files with a Q in the middle of the extension e.g. FILE.DQC), use NSWP. Tag the files with the 'T' command and use the 'Q' command to unsqueeze the files.
