The sun is a star - 162,000,000,000,000,000 miles from the center of the Milky Way.
Already we have almost reached Mercury - a tiny planet at a tremendous heat.
Venus is similar in size to the earth and has an atmosphere of carbon dioxide.
Earth is believed to be the only inhabited planet.
Until we reach the planet Mars there is nothing (just "space").
We've just passed Mars, the red planet. A manned space mission to Mars would take 3 years.
(It didn't take us 3 years to get to Mars.  So much for *MODERN TECHNOLOGY*!)
In between the planets there is, basically, nothing.  Not even air!
Theoretically, we should be passing a planet about now.  We're not.  Just *ASTEROIDS*.
The asteriods are a batch of bodies going round the sun. (Aren't we all?!)
Some asteroids are hundreds of miles across, others are just a few yards.
Between the asteroids (there aren't that many of them!), there's *SPACE*...
...and more space...
...still a few million miles to the next planet...
The next planet is called Jupiter.  (with the red spot).
No, we're not there yet.  The spot is thought to be some weather condition (SOME WEATHER!)
You know, at the speed we're going we won't see Pluto for another 5 mins..  *SPEED UP!* 
The next planet will be Saturn - almost 100 times the mass ("weight") of the earth.
Saturn is known for the hundreds of rings that surround it.
... and Saturn takes 29 years to make it round the sun.
... Saturn is made up of gasses - hydrogen, helium etc.
You realise - all this area is *SPACE*
... empty space
... *VERY* empty space
Here comes:  *URANUS*
Uranus can be seen with the naked eye.
Uranus is green.
Uranus was discovered in 1781.
Scientists consider Uranus quite uninteresting (What - You do too?)
We are now travelling through space.
Here comes...  (trumpet fanfares, please!)
*NEPTUNE* ... which has two rings...
          ... and takes 164 years and 288 days to get round the sun.
And Here Comes:
Space.  (There are *HUGE* amounts of space).
